Young Adult Community
Find Community. Grow in Faith. Live with Purpose.
Life is full of big questions, new opportunities, and unexpected challenges. Whether you're in college, starting a career, raising a family, or simply figuring out what's next, you don't have to do it alone.
Our Young Adults Ministry is a place where you can build authentic friendships, grow in your relationship with Jesus, and discover God's purpose for your life. We gather to worship, study God's Word, pray, serve our community, and encourage one another through every season of life.
You don't need to have everything figured out to belong here. Come as you are, ask honest questions, and experience the hope and love of Christ in a welcoming community.
We'd love to meet you. Join us at our next gathering and see what God has in store!

What We Do
Navigating your twenties and early adult years comes with big questions, new responsibilities, and a search for real connection. Our mission is to provide a safe, welcoming environment where young adults can grow in their faith and build meaningful, lasting relationships.
Through shared meals, practical Bible study, local events, and service projects, we help young adults:
-
Discover how Scripture applies to real-life challenges—like mental health, relationships, and career decisions.
-
Connect with a supportive community that encourages, listens, and walks alongside you without judgment.
-
Live out their purpose by serving others and growing closer to Jesus Christ.
No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, there is a seat at the table for you.
Our Team
Mark and Lorina Baker

Mark and Lorina Baker are passionate about helping young adults find authentic community, meaningful relationships, and a deeper walk with Jesus Christ.

Many of today's young adults grew up in children's and youth ministries but often lose their connection to the church as life becomes busier with college, careers, relationships, and new responsibilities. Mark and Lorina believe the church should continue to be a place where young adults feel seen, valued, and encouraged.

Their vision is to create a welcoming and safe environment where young adults can gather to share a meal, build friendships, laugh, play games, attend local events, study God's Word, and serve together in the community. Their desire is to help young adults discover how Scripture speaks to everyday life, offering hope and wisdom for relationships, mental health, career decisions, and life's many uncertainties.

Having experienced the challenges of their own twenties, Mark and Lorina understand what many young adults are facing today. They remember wondering about God's plan for their future, searching for healthy friendships, and longing to belong to a community that encouraged them to grow in their faith. They wanted people who would speak truth into their lives, enjoy life's adventures together, and inspire them to follow Jesus wholeheartedly.

That same passion now fuels their ministry.

Mark is a gifted teacher with a servant's heart. He enjoys telling stories that make biblical truths practical and memorable. He is a compassionate listener who loves encouraging others to discover their gifts, pursue meaningful careers, and live with purpose. His organizational and administrative skills help create opportunities for young adults to stay connected through events, activities, and service projects.

Lorina has a genuine love for people and a desire to see them develop a deep, consistent relationship with Jesus Christ. She has a gift for hospitality and enjoys opening her home to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels like family. Whether preparing a healthy meal, leading a Bible discussion, or simply sitting down for a conversation, Lorina loves helping people feel known, accepted, and encouraged.

Together, Mark and Lorina believe that young adults don't just need another program—they need a community where they can be themselves without fear of judgment, ask honest questions, grow in their faith, and build lifelong friendships centered on Christ.
Whether you're exploring your faith, looking for genuine friendships, or searching for a place to belong, we'd love for you to join us. There's a seat at the table for you.

Webster Barnes

Webster Barnes is a High School Spanish Teacher and an active participant in the Spring Arbor Church of the Nazarene. He serves in a variety of capacities, primarily as a Youth Leader and Audio and Visual leader, but he is also looking forward to serving with the Young Adults and acting as a bridge for students graduating from High School and looking to get involved in a small group.

Webster believes that all people should have a place where they belong, and that could not be further from the truth when it comes to young adults. As a young adult himself, he has always felt the struggle of finding people his age to be discipled with. In addition, he has seen the need for a place where students can go after they are done with Youth Group, because many seem to leave the church and not return.

Webster is looking forward to building a community of Young Adults that focuses on being yourself and getting to know other people on a similar journey, at a similar time. He looks forward to meeting anyone who wants to join.
